A high-security hospital in London is holding an open day in a bid to recruit 100 registered nurses.
As part of redevelopment plans at West London Mental Health NHS Trust`s Broadmoor Hospital the workforce size will be increased to offer patients more support.
Registered nurses are being invited to attend the open day at the hospital in Crowthorne, Berkshire, in September, where they will have the opportunity to explore the multi-disciplinary streams supported by the hospital and speak with current staff.
Dr Kevin Murray, clinical director said: "The hospital would like to increase the staff-to-patient ratio on the wards. We are hoping to recruit nursing staff with a mixed skill set to give patients the therapeutic support they require."
Broadmoor Hospital is one of only three high-security psychiatric hospitals in England and provides secure accommodation for approximately 260 men from London and the South of England.
Patients stay at the mental health facility for around eight years and while most suffer from severe mental illness others also have personality disorders.
